Hi Klevies! Through her writings, RA Kartini conveys her thoughts and aspirations to fight for women’s rights in Indonesia. Kartini has noble desires for women in this country to have the future they want, regardless of the feudal-patriarchal traditions that hinder the advancement of women.
Her action to change the injustice is what makes women today able to live more freely and decide our future as we desire. Therefore, based on the Keputusan Presiden Republik Indonesia No. 108 Tahun 1964, Kartini was declared a National Hero and April 21st has officially become Kartini’s Day.
Sadly in reality today, there are a lot of women whose rights to life are cramped due to the physical and sexual violence they had to experience. Based on CATAHU Komnas Perempuan 2021, the reported case of violence against women and children have increased over the past 3 (three) years up to 9.965 cases including household violence, dating violence, and online gender-based violence. This is one of the reasons why violence against women and children must be taken care of very seriously.
Klevies, did you know that you can advance Kartini’s crusade by taking part in preventing violence against women in Indonesia? Through a social campaign, #DariKlevies, KLEVERU conjoined with Yayasan JaRI invite you to show your support against violence in such an actual and easy way!
For every purchase of one KLEVERU product, you will be donating Rp5.000 worth of donation tickets for our campaign to fight violence, #DariKlevies. The donation later will be 100% handed over to Yayasan JaRI to improve their services and programs in providing legal and psychological assistance to the violence survivors, giving general counselling to public, and providing volunteers for the movement to prevent violence against women.
You can also donate with one ticket worth Rp5.000 without product or minimum purchases so you can choose the number of donations by yourself. This program runs from March to August 2022 and its progress will be updated through KLEVERU social media regularly.
Just like our National Hero, we can show real action for women in Indonesia by fighting and preventing violence around us. Let’s together create a safer environment for each other!
So Klevies, are you ready to be your own version of a hero for yourself and the people around you?
